| he Olympia Microcomputer
Users Group (OMUG) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization in the
State of Washington, dedicated to the notion that people should learn
how to use personal computers and take advantage of the power they
offer. Having computer skills can make an incredible difference in one's
work, in one's play, in one's education, and in one's life. OMUG has
been proudly serving the needs of the computer user community in the
south Puget Sound area of western Washington since 1986. We have primary
and associate members of all ages and interests. We hold a general
monthly meeting (second Thursday) in which members and guests can hear
computer industry representatives discuss their latest technologies. We
also sponsor all of which hold their own meetings during
the month. Here is our
monthly calendar. We also sponsor several large events every year.
For the official history of the group, please see our
Historian's report. The
world of computing is changing rapidly. The constant innovations make it
hard to keep up! But you have someone on your team - OMUG! We are a
non-profit, community group whose purpose is to help you deal with your
computing issues. By becoming a part of OMUG, you'll get answers to your
technical questions, you'll meet industry representatives face-to-face,
and you'll hear the inside scoop on upcoming technologies.
